Film industry--I,Daniel Blake

1)An independent film is a movie produced outside the major film studios,it's different to a Hollywood blockbuster because they already have an audience whereas independent films don't. 2) Its about a n 59 year old carpenter recovering from a heart attack befriends a single mother and her two kids as they navigate their way through the impersonal, benefits system. With equal amounts of humor, warmth and despair, the journey is heartfelt and emotional until the end. 3) Ken loach directed it and the film is important because it really shows the tough time the working class go through,its about showing empathy and understanding. 4) 1 way it was promoted to the audience is film festivals which helped it gain attention from their target audience. Another way it was promoted is social media , this helped them gain an audience from a much younger and more socially conscious audience.Lastly another way it was promoted was public screenings , this helped them connect directly...

Gender representation in advertising

1) 2) 3)In those ads women were mostly shown as homemakers and their roles were centred around the house and the family. 4)In the post 2000s ,women are sometimes still portrayed as overly emotional or obsessed with beauty and shopping but more diverse roles were given out. 5)in the 1950s and 60s men were more dominant and superior and the women had to look some kind of way ,it wasn't very diverse,but in the post 2000s women were depicted in more diverse roles,like working professionals and ads started to change ad norms.

Tatler case study -Blog task

1)For the title it is a Serif font which connotes elegance, glamour and sophistication, it also links to wealth and tradition. 2) they often use puns ,which relate to the audience. 3)They used elegant colours which connotes high-society and luxury lifestyle. 4)Emma Weymouth was mentioned and i think she was mentioned because shes known for her fashion sense and public appearances. 5)It appeals to them because they can relate and most people who buy Tatler would have the same lifestyle as them. 6)Tatler is less likely to feature those with private lives who aren't involved in high society. 7)It suggest that they make a picture of Britain that's all about indulgence and exclusivity. 8)people in the lower class, since its aimed to target for the higher class.
