Camerawork, editing and sound - opening shot of lyra establishes close bond with pan.

Mise-en-scene: lyra's costumes are masculine which subverts female stereotypes

Narrative and genre: different worlds and witches and the prophesies that the witches are involved in.

it has a lot of features such as witches ,demon and different devices.

Mrs Coulter is the villain because she is plotting against lyra and lyra is the hero because she's trying to save everyone from the villain.
