Represent NHS Blood campaign

1) BAME stands for Black,Asian and minority ethnic.

2)There is a need in blood from the BAME community because there is a lack of blood donations and certain blood types are more prevalent within these groups.

3)The advert wants to motivate the audience and to take the next step into donating.

4)In my opinion, the advert is called represent because it aims to showcase diverse groups and maybe to 'represent' it in a good way instead of a bad way.

5)They have chosen BAME celebrities to show that you can be anyone , they have shown Ade Adepitan who is most know for being a wheelchair basketball player and Nicola Adams who is a female boxer

6)The slow paced shot of empty chairs carries a sense of reflection, the empty chairs represent the absence of those who didn't donate blood which leaves them thinking about how they can change that.

7)The advert matches the key conventions because of the use of dynamic visuals, a focus on real life setting and a diverse cast that reflects the community.
