The scene where the teachers figure out there's something wrong with the girl is significant because it shows that they care.

Fantasy and science-fiction because of  the part where they time travelled.

It captures the fascination with the space race which was a prominent theme in that era.

The character of the doctor initially embodies the stereotype of knowledgeable.

6) What stereotypes of women/girls are reinforced and subverted in Doctor Who: An Unearthly Child? How?
they are represented in a way that both reinforces and challenges stereotypes where Susan is portrayed as intelligent and capable however her character can also be weird and unworldly.

7) How do the representations of young people and old people in An Unearthly Child reflect the social and historical context of the 1960s? 
The representations of old and young people reflect the social and historical context when the character Susan, being a young person, embodies the curiosity and rebelliousness associated with the youth culture of that time whereas the doctor represents wisdom and authority.
